Hail Damage Inspections
Hail Damage is a big cause of needing a new roof, siding, and windows put in. If just the right storm passes through it can have the potential of producing some pretty nasty hail. Golf ball size hail and larger can destroy the shingles and allow water sot leak through causing damage to your roof.
What to Look for
When House Mechanics comes out to inspect a roof, they will meet with the adjuster to make sure everyone is on the same page and looking at the damage. With multiple sets of eyes on the playing field it helps to spot out some small damage and the really big damage. When thee is significant damage done to a shingle it can be big enough to put a small hole in the shingle. This hole allows water to get through and cause even more damage to the wood underneath.
Damage over time
Water is the biggest culprit to your home, this is why we take so much precaution when building homes to seal it up nice and tight. Hail can cause damage to windwos, siding, and your shingles, this makes it easier for water to come in and destroy the wood over time. With leaks they take so long to show symptoms that by the time you catch them there is already extensive damage.

It’s always best to call and have a roof inspection done if your house has been caught up in a bad storm producing large hail. Have a contractor come out and ensure that there is no problems or issues going on. Sometimes it’s best to get the insurance adjustor out there at the same time to get as many eyes on the roof as possible.
